In the 1950s, Hollywood launched into a widescreen race to lure audiences back with experiences television couldn’t match. 20th Century Fox introduced CinemaScope, and Paramount answered with VistaVision—a groundbreaking format that delivered unmatched clarity, vivid color, and breathtaking detail.
At a new program Charlotte Barker, Director of Film Restoration and Preservation at Paramount Pictures will take us through a history of VistaVision.
